 | Big
Run AMD Remediation Phase II |
The important stream clean-up continues on Big Run. What is the importance
of cleaning up Big Run? The PA Fish and Boat Commission will not stock
trout from the confluence of Big Run downstream to the Kiski River, which
is perhaps the best trout habitat on Blacklegs Creek. Cleaning up Big Run
means opening an entire new stretch of stream to trout fishing. Phase I,
the Big Run #2 project is complete, and we recently
began work on Big Run Phase
II. This project will treat the Big Run #7 discharge while paving the way
to treat the #8 discharge at a later date. View our Growing Greener
proposal for more details.
